Wagerer's Gæas

The Wagerer's Gæas is not properly a spell, though it is incantable. If one knows the incantation, or has a charm, one can induce a Pixie to carry out a single request or favor. The spell has rapidly become a favorite of gamblers, for impartial judgment on a wager. Under the Gæas the Pixie is bound to be honest (the chosen Pixie has no choice) and remains in a limbo-like existence until the terms of the wager are complete.

The Pixie, is apparently chosen at random by the spell, though it is said that more advanced practitioners can designate a particular Pixie.

The Pixie, who's life is on hold until the deed is accomplished, has no choice. They are constrained by the Gæas to follow the letter of the demand. Often, the pixie called tends to be rather put out by the whole thing; It is, therefore, wise to word your demand carefully.

Wielders of the spell should take special cautions, given the Pixie proclivity for mischief and their ability to bend the rules within the parameters of a spell (i.e. honesty). Pixies unilaterally despise this spell, and never discuss it.

The Wagerer's Geas is said to have been created by the ancients who designed the Interface, that was later dismantled by Drinn.

Some say it is a measure of retribution for the mischievous nature of the Pixies, but that is beyond the scope of this inquiry.
