Opell's Theorem

Opell was an archaeologist and mathematician born and educated on Io Prime. She was one of the first great Transcendental Theorists to come from the Outer Rim . She is credited with the development of Irrational Mathematics, which was instrumental in the development of Transcendental Physics.

The tragic death of Dr. Opell was not ameliorated by her role in ending the career of Erroneous Jones, also known as The Lord Of The Rims.

In it's most elementary form, Opell's Theorem states that:

A switch may be defined as any mechanism with more than one wait state.
Any sufficiently complex set of switches will, at point W, organize and become self aware.
