Erroneous Jones grew up in poverty in the Inner Rim, during the Second Milenium outworld expansion. Military service led him to politics, and eventually to a bloody coup, against the Planetary Governor of Asteroid g6-h89a (a.k.a. Just Left of Hell).
From his new position, he managed to consolidate the Inner Rim, and turn it into a formidible military force. As the Inner Rim's Armada was surrounding the Outer Rim's settlements, Erroneous Jones announced that he was declaring himself "Lord Of The Rims"
The Outer Rim was near defeat, when Dr. Opell saved the day by hobbling together an unknown mechanism in her lab. The Doctor was an archeaoligist and mathematician born and educated on Io Prime. The precise nature of the device is still a matter of some debate.
The only verifiable facts about the device, were the archaic runes she printed on it, and that it was portable. Most scholars agree that it was suitcase-sized, but none of the differing translation of the ruins she used to lable the thing, have ever been substantiated.
The last transmmission from her vessel was an image of the ruins, which appeared to be in ancient Terran Anglish, and read:
Dr. Opell was never heard from again, nor was any trace ever found of her, asteroid g6-h89a, or the "Lord Of The Rims".
